Spadge's Sightings

Postby SpadgeBirder » Fri Jun 26, 2015 2:16 pm

25/06/15 - 11:00 to 14:00

Highlights:
A glorious summer plumage Spotted Redshank on the wet grassland asleep, a first summer Little Gull heading East.

Male and female Marsh Harrier over by Cut End, not much else to note but wasn't expecting to much but what a belting few hours with myself to keep myself company.

I was there the other week and only had about 5 Common Redshank but today i lost count, no Med Gull today but the weeds have taken over the islands so may have been hiding.

Note:
I also found a Marsh Harrier nest site on the way home in a small piece of wild grassland next to a field with looked like barley, I watch the female coming and going for about an hour but no male.
Birders do it in the field
